When my wife and I began planning our wedding, we put a lot of time and effort into researching and ultimately choosing our vendors. With the exception of a couple of bumps in the road, most vendors simply met our expectations. Not Buerhaus design. The job that Matt did was simply awesome. From the wireless mic that I wore to the dramatic ceremony introduction, the entire process was one that is truly fitting for the most important day of your life.

When we showed the video to our friends and family, they were absolutely stunned. It brought both tears and laughs as it will for many years to come. If I could recommend anyone of the many vendors we incorporated in our wedding, it would definitely be Buerhaus Design!

Matt did an absolutely fabulous job on our wedding video! From the start though, I knew from meeting with him and viewing his work that it would be wonderful! It is impossible to describe how amazing it was to watch our wedding video and more impossible to describe Matt Buerhaus. It is obvious he loves what he does and is incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process. His guidance throughout our planning and on our special day was insurmountable. His professionalism is unmatched and his footage is fabulous.  We fell in love with his style and the beauty of his work, along with his vibrance and friendliness.

Our whole honeymoon we anticipated our video. Upon returning home, we found our video and watched it in it’s entirety, even though it was very late. The video had barely begun when we were both moved to tears and laughter from the memories of our wedding, because the video truly captures the day and all the emotion came flooding back to us. We were able to relive precious moments of the day and even details we missed in all the excitement. The best part about the video is the reactions of our family and friends that we missed throughout the night and images we did not realize were even being videoed.

Everyone who has watched it has been amazed by the artistry and brilliant images, and more impressed because they did not realize we even had a videographer. The expertise and talent of Matt’s work is simply stunning. Our video is priceless!

Well, yet another rave for Matt Buerhaus.  His talent is undeniable.  Also, since we hired him he’s been so responsive and attentive.  His preparation sheet walks you through all you need to do before the wedding, and although there are a lot of decisions to make it means that your video comes out the way you want it to.  He is very thorough.  Matt had our video to us the Monday we got back from our honeymoon and we watched it the other night.  I loved it!  It’s such a great way to memorialize the day and I will treasure it f! or years to come.   Very highly recommend!

In the weeks immediately running up to our wedding, when it felt like the budget was spiraling out of control, there was a moment where we wondered if maybe a videographer was a needless expense.  
 
It wasn't.  That was possibly the best money we put toward our wedding, and Matt was big part of the reason why.
 
Our wedding video itself is wonderful – comprehensive, gorgeously shot, and revealing – and that fact is made more impressive by how unobtrusive Matt was at our wedding.   There was no point where he or anyone on his staff seemed at all in the way, but we've got DVD proof that they were everywhere.  The montage looks great, the editing is wonderful … just an excellent, professional job.
 
And Matt's post-wedding customer service was fantastic as well.  He went the extra mile, accommodating our schedules and needs, and making right the few things that did go wrong.   Dealing with Buerhaus Design was just a fantastic experience all the way around!

Matt is so wonderful to work with!  I was also really happy to see how well he worked with Charles Funk, our photographer.  The pair of them were just dears to work with.  Although to say I actually worked with Matt on the wedding day would be an understatement.  I almost never saw him!  ;)  But he was there!  Our video can attest to that.  He captured all the little details that really “make the day.”  We received it a little over two weeks from the wedding, and everything looked just beautiful.  What a worthwhile investment to make.  He captured it all, so that my mom, the resident family videographer, could just enjoy the day.  What interaction I did have with him on the wedding was wonderful, but on the most part he blended in so seamlessly with everyone else.  He re-defined the meaning of unobtrusive.  And the final video was amazing.  I work with editors every day for a living, so I know how hard the editing process can be.  It’s not as easy as it looks!  He was worth every penny.  We’ve received many many comments on how beautiful our video is!

Any reluctancy I had about getting a video of our wedding was quickly replaced when I watched our DVD that just arrived! We hardly even noticed that Matt was filming, yet he was able to get some amazing

Since we received our video 2 weeks ago, we've watched it 3 times! Matt's work is amazing and we don't regret for a minute having booked him. There were so many things in the video that we hadn't seen, heard or remembered from the wedding and being able to re-live that wonderful day over and over again is great!  Even from the beginning, working with Matt was wonderful. He was always extremely responsive to any e-mails or phone calls and was very helpful when we were absolutely stumped on what songs to use for our video. We gave him a pretty lengthy list of songs we liked and he not only told us if they were ok to use, but also told us where they would go best in the completed video. He made a difficult task very easy. We picked the gold package which included the "growing up" video montage that we showed at the wedding reception and we are so glad to have done that. He showed it towards the end of dinner and the guests just thought that it made the reception so intimate and wonderful. It was a great way to show our guests a bit about ourselves and people laughed at pictures and cried. There was a picture of my husband and his father, who has since passed away and it was so touching that people starting clapping when the picture was shown. It really was a beautful addition to the reception and the montage was put together so wonderfully. I even sent Matt too many pictures than normally used in the montage and instead of leaving some out, he just re-mixed the song I used for my pictures to make the song longer. He was totally unobtrusive and I almost forgot he was there most of the time. And at the end of the evening after the reception was over, he quietly slipped away. He was wonderful and the video is just an awesome work of art! We had originally not booked a videographer and I am so glad that we changed our mind. It is worth any amount of money!

I must admit, I was at first reluctant to spend $ on a video as I wanted to avoid most of the typical extravagant and unnecessary "wedding-ish" details, also I had been forewarned that videos can be somewhat "cheesy" to say the least :-) Thankfully, I changed my mind and was proved wrong after watching several (ok, more than several... I became addicted!) of your creative and inspiring videos on your website!
Working with you has been nothing short of a great experience; I appreciate the fact that all your info is available on your website, as I did most of my planning online; not to mention the fact that you were so easy to communicate with via e-mail (my choice) throughout the entire process and were always very quick to respond to questions and concerns, with a virtual smile every time :-)

Matt, your assistants did a fabulous job capturing our wedding day! The video is amazing and truly encompasses every aspect of our wedding celebration. The best part was that they were overall inconspicuous- they taped everything, but did not distract our guests. The dancing clips are great- you can see everyone's personality because they didn't have to change their behavior for fear of being "caught on tape". At the same time, I had complete confidence that every key moment (everything from vows, to first dance, to cake cutting) was recorded.
 
My husband and I were initially hesitant about fitting a videographer into our budget, and we are so happy that we did! The entire process was easy- from booking to receiving the video- it wasn't any additional work for us! I can't tell you how much we loved that the video was already in our mailbox when we got back from our honeymoon! 
 
We appreciate that our pictures are great, but the video truly lets us re-live the day! I would certainly recommend you and your assistants to anyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed having Matt film our wedding- his easy going style made both of us comfortable and
all of our other vendors as well--he was actually fun to have there. We got home from a two week honeymoon exhausted but still sat riveted infront of the tv to watch the whole video in the middle of the night- it made us feel like we were watching a hollywood movie....where of course, we were the stars!

When we initially started planning our wedding, we nixed the idea of hiring a videographer and thought that was an easy thing to cut out of our budget.  But when one of our sets of grandparents wasn't going to be able to make the trip out to our wedding, we decided that a DVD was the only way we could really share the day with them.  In retrospect, it was probably the best decision we made throughout the whole year of planning.  Sandy, Matt's assistant, was wonderful -- COMPLETELY unobtrusive and very professional.  As soon as we departed from the reception, we turned to each other, full of love and emotion and giggles and elation, and said almost in unison, "I can't WAIT to see the video!!!"  More than the photography, more than anything else, it's the one thing we kept looking forward to seeing throughout our honeymoon.  And then as soon as we returned, the DVD awaited
us.  And it surpassed our expectations.  Sitting there, watching it in our living room, we relived the whole beautiful celebration, and we were able to see so many details that we were too swept up to notice during the actual day.  We are so thrilled that we have this phenomenal footage!  It's absolutely priceless!

It was a little more than a week after our wedding and just five days into our honeymoon when it suddenly hit us: the music video portion of our wedding DVD was probably finished and posted on Matt's web site. So on a tiny island on Australia's Great Barrier Reef, Kevin and I excitedly plunked two $2 coins into the hotel's ancient dial-up Internet kiosk and waited. And waited. And deposited more coins. And waited some more. Nearly an hour later, the computer had downloaded less than half the music video, the reception area was about to close and a mean Italian woman was loudly complaining that she just *had* to get onto the Internet for a work emergency. We didn't care. Grinning, we watched that little segment three times, so thrilled that we had decided to hire Matt to document our wedding day.

Everyone says that weddings go by so quickly that the newly married couple barely remembers what happened
that day. So many people had warned us of that that Kevin and I really tried to soak everything in and we have so many wonderful, vivid memories of the day. But there simply was no way that we would have been able
to see our parents' reactions to our wedding vows, to enjoy the many gorgeous vantage points of the ceremony in the church, to relive the wonderful toasts at ourreception, to know whether our wedding dance lessons actually paid off, etc. You've allowed us all that. And more! Thank you so much for providing a keepsake that not only we and our families will cherish but that we'll be able to show our children and grandchildren one day. Your work is simply magnificent!

I would recommend Matt Buerhaus to any bride.  He is amazing to work with.  He is professional and makes the “planning of video” easy with his wonderful website.  On the day of my wedding, Matt was there getting all the great shots, but as his website claims he was very unobtrusive.  My video was completed in less than two weeks, and I have watched it 4 times in 48 hours!  In that time, I have already recommended Matt to two people!!  The video is absolutely incredible.  The footage and effects are remarkable.  I feel like a movie star!  As my grandfather said, after watching it – “That video is worth every penny if not more.”

The video was AMAZING!!  It completely exceeded our expectations!! :)  You were very very professional and we barely noticed you were there - and at the same time, still able to capture all our special moments beautifully!
We learned that a wedding flys by very quickly for the bride and groom and you're torn in all different directions doing all your inevitable 'bride and groom duties' - so a video is really the only way you get to see what actually happened at the wedding and it's nice to see your ceremony again and is a wonderful keepsake of the words and vowels said to one another - We will cherish it for many years to come - the way you captured our ceremony was wonderful - i cried buckets!! :)

For anyone looking for a GREAT videographer who has a great personality, unbelievable professionalism and talent, and COMPLETELY (no bright lights, etc) unobstrusive - this is your man!!  He has sooo many packages to suit anyone's needs!! 

Again, Matt, we can't say thank you enough!!  This was clearly the best investment we put into our wedding!!

     We can’t thank you enough for the wonderful job you did on our video!  I was in tears the first time I watched the music video.  The video flowed so well and you really captured the day!!  We can not say enough how happy we are with everything!  We showed the video to my family on Easter Sunday and they were all sooo impressed!!  I looked around the room and saw a few tears!!! 
     I have to be honest and say we were on the fence about having our wedding day professionally videotaped because of budget reasons but I can’t convey to you how glad we both are that we did it and that we had you do it!  We have been telling all of our friends/family that this is by far the best money we spent on our entire wedding!!  I would like to say to brides/grooms to be, if you are still trying to decide whether to spend the extra money……DO IT…..you will not regret it!!!  I didn’t really believe it when people told me your wedding day will FLY by but it is so true.  The day went by soooo incredibly fast and it is unbelievable how many important things you miss on your wedding day. There was sooo much on the video that we were not able to see on our actual wedding day.  There is great video coverage of my nephews getting there boutonniere’s pinned on before the wedding…..this is something that I, as the bride, was not able to see in person.  There is also wonderful coverage of my nieces and nephews dancing together…I will cherish these memories forever!!!! 
    This is also something that you will be able to look back on years from now and show your children and your grandchildren!!  Franks grandparents were unable to come to the wedding because of health reasons.  We are going to drive to New Jersey next weekend and we will be able to sit down with them and let them watch our special day unfold!!  Thanks again Matt for doing such a wonderful job!

All I can say is, WOW!!!!! Matt did a phenomenal job w/our video (check out our highlight/spotlight reel- link is @ the top of this bio), words cannot describe how truly BEAUTIFUL, BREATHTAKING, & AWESOME our video is. I've watched it over..& over.. & over.. & still can't get over how wonderful it is (I can't stop watching it). He captured so many of the little details I was afraid would go unnoticed. He also was able to capture the raw emotion & bring everything back to life. I cannot say or rave enough about Matt Buerhaus!!! Plus, boy is he quick in editing & getting the final, finished product back. My wedding was Saturday (2/19), he had my video finished that Wednesday (2/23), & my father picked it up Thursday (all while I was away on my honeymoon). Super quick!! My father has probably watched the video 20+ times & my sister @ least 15 (my wedding was just 2 weeks ago), both confiscated a copy (he provides 4, I had to order 2 more). Also, I think Matt invented the word, "unobtrusive", I'd like to rename him the "invisible one", you didn't even know he was there!! I could go on..& on about the outstanding job Matt did, & his artistic talent & captivatingly beautiful workmanship... If you haven't settled on a videographer, definitely check him out.. he's still fairly "new" to the scene & a true talent!! @ his current prices, he's a bonafide STEAL!! (Lucky me found him before the price increase last year). He's worth every penny & soooo much more!! Okay, enough gushing about Matt!! Can you tell I'm ecstatic over my video?!?!? Okay, I just received my "Outakes" (raw footage) video (I ordered this AFTER seeing my video, about a week ago) & "WOW"!!!! !!! Even the raw footage was WONDERFUL to watch!! I had thought he caught a ton of details in my "refined" video, but little did I know just how much ground he actually covered until viewing the "Outakes". Again, MATT IS AWESOME!! He captured sooooo much!! The "unedited", raw version was as exciting (& touching) to watch as my finished video, or rather, movie. He was EVERYWHERE!! It's amazing how he somehow "knew" what to film & focus on, for example, me changing into my mother's "revamped" wedding dress. I did not tell Matt about that, or the importance of it, it was a suprise..(no one but my sister knew), well somehow, he "knew" to focus on my mother & I. He caught EVERYTHING!! The suprise & shock on my mother's face when she finally recognized my gown as her old gown, her raw emotion & reaction (she cried), us hugging!! I came in on her as a "soul train" line was going on, that's what Matt was initially filming... Anyway, to me, it was just amazing that he captured that & zoned in on that moment. More gushing, I know.. but again, I reiterate... if you haven't already booked him.. definitely scoop him up!! You won't regret it!! My only regret is that I didn't upgrade my package! Matt is easily my FAVORITE vendor!!! He's a gem!!!!! Please feel free to contact me w/any questions!
